Trip overview

Why you’ll love this trip

Few trips pack in this much variety: alpine lakes, cascading waterfalls, Roman palaces and medieval walled towns on an impossibly blue sea.

We avoid peak-summer crowds with June and September departures, and finish with two full nights in Dubrovnik so you can walk the walls in the cool of the morning.

Highlights

  • Rowing boat to the island church on Lake Bled
  • Boardwalks and waterfalls of Plitvice Lakes National Park
  • Diocletian’s Palace in Split with a local historian
  • Ferries to Hvar and Korčula
  • Walking Dubrovnik’s city walls
  • Sea kayaking around Dubrovnik’s old town
